Finally on the 7th of June a large UFO was shot down by a lone interceptor packing plasma cannons! It crashed in southern Iran and the men prepared to embark on another mission!
The men touched down on the early morning of the 8th. All of them by now had power armor and it was time to kick ass! Siljanus was down first and he spotted two Chrysalids! One
went down instantly as a plasma round tore its head in two, the other one took a shot in the chest but didn't go down. He spotted a snakeman then and Charlatan came down to take
it out.
Da_Toad and Samurai were now back from injuries and the Toad took out one of the Chrysalids that Siljanus could not, he started to advance but spotted a third one! A snap shot
left a hole in its chest but it kept coming! More of them came out of the sand dunes and Charlatan was taken! Siljanus turned around and put two bursts of plasma into the
offending aliens, Charlatans zombie like corpse exploding into kiblets by Siljanus's hand. Samurai got the next kill taking out another Chrysalid from a distance as more men got
off the plane.
TNB spotted a sixth Chrysalid and injured it; its indecisive action allowed the men to not be taken. Now they advanced with a grenade paving the way. Siljanus spotted the last
Chrysalid and fired once. It wounded the hideous thing. At the same time Da_Toad spotted a snakeman and wounded it with an aimed shot. TNB finished it off. Binky now tossed a
grenade towards the injured Chrysalid, but only managed to take out one of the snakemen that were coming out of the large craft.
Samurai now spotted a snakeman and came under fire, good for him that Papageno already had a bead on it and it was soon down. Siljanus as well had taken out the injured Chrysalid
and Da_Toad and TNB were ready to breach the UFOs doorway. More snakemen came out of the doorway now but Siljanus shot them down, and as Da_Toad prepared to breach the UFO he
spotted a seventh Chrysalid! Siljanus, of course, killed it.
The men had now breached the UFO and Da_Toad had taken out the only resistance at his entrance. As well on the other side Papageno, Samurai and Eduardo X prepared to close off the
only other exit out of the ship. The final battle was set.
Papageno spotted the first alien, another Chrysalid that was going to be able to reach the other men on its turn, a desperate battle got under way and disaster was narrowly
averted when Binky put it down. Samurai spotted the next alien - a Snakeman and put it down with two plasma rounds. The men of the other entrance were now ready to go up the lift
and begin the battle for the second level.
The three men now on the second level - Da_Toad, Siljanus and Binky - now attacked! Da_Toad was in first, taking a stun round without worries and killed his attacker, next was
Binky who advanced and killed another snakeman and finally Siljanus finished it off by killing the last one in the command room.
Thankfully promotions have arrived! They are.....
Commander Siljanus, Colonel Nature Boy, Captain Binky, Captain Darkfyre, Sergeant Drazzil, Sergeant Ralph-Wiggum, and Sergeant Eightball .
On the 18th of June a small UFO was shot down over Turkey and the Brutesquad was sent in 8 men strong. Three of them would be rookies, Ausie, Shaytan and DreamShadowMecha.
Shaytan was down first and spotted two Mutons. He killed one and Siljanus came down to take out the second. Sounds of a door opening were heard and the men advanced to find the
remaining intruders. Da_Toad was soon hit, Shaytan took out his attacker and threw a grenade at the general direction. Another Muton emerged and Shaytan took it out as well! The
last Muton now emerged and took pot shots at the injured Da_Toad, he fired back and killed it!
Now ItsATrap and RayDude were promoted to Sergeant.
As well over in North America the first 8 men arrived at the small base. They are.....
Neal, Massena, Eycein, LarkinVB, El Guapo, BruceH, TiLT, and Qbe.
On the 28th of June another large UFO was shot down, this time over Northern Australia. The Aussie men were sent in, including two rookies with no ARMOR!
Romalar went down first, a Snakeman taking him out. Darkfyre took out his killer and took cover next to a farmhouse. Chris got the next kill, another snakeman. But now Chrysalids
were getting closer to the small perimeter near the Skyranger, snakemen backing up the assault in the farm buildings cover.
Darkfyre took out that Chrysalid and shortly after Chris took out the last Snakeman resistance in the building, the men now settled in and waited for the enemy to come to them.
However they didn't come and the men now formed up to enter the UFO. However a Chrysalid soon took Freezer-TPF- that left RDM and Evil Dead to sweep the remaining farm buildings
while the other four men took on the UFO itself. Unfortunately, RDM followed Freezer-TPF- quickly, however he had primed a grenade for just this possibility. Boom. It was not
known if anything had survived the blast but now only Evil Dead was going to be able to stop those bastards.
The men that were ready to assault the UFO now saw the Chyrsalids emerge from the smoke of the explosion and took one of them out. Seeing the situation rapidly deteriorating the
men retreated back towards the Skyranger, followed by more Chrysalids. One was spotted south of the line and Darkfyre took it out but pressure was mounting now. More were spotted
incoming, Chris and Darkfyre took out one more each.
With several aliens incoming and ammo now running low it was decided to retreat. 9 aliens were killed, but 3 Brutesquad operatives were taken out as well. Horrible losses in
Australia!
June was soon over and the council of funding nations decided to up the funding by nearly $1 million.
The first men to enter Psi-Testing began and another alien base was located! This time in North Western China. It was decided to wait until Blaster Bomb research was concluded to
assault the complex.
On the 4th of July a small UFO was shot down over Saudi Arabia and the men arrived on the 5th. Shaytan was down first, he spotted two Mutons near the destroyed craft and both were
soon dead. Aussie went down next and killed another one with its back turned. Shaytan came under fire then, but his return fire silenced the gun. Aussie was then hit in a
crossfire however he prevailed and took out his target, suffering moderate injuries.
Shaytan killed the last Muton and the mission was over!
On the 8th of July the aliens attacked Canberra........
The men landed in Canberra during the early hours of the day and landed in the downtown area. Sounds of gunfire from local police could be heard as well as numerous screams from
the local population. It was evident that the police were taking a heavy toll in their protection of the civvies.
Shaytan got off the plane first and spotted two aliens - a Snakeman and a Chrysalid. He took them both down and secured the ramp.
More men got down the ramp and a small perimeter was established. Eightball now spotted a Snakeman through a warehouse window and fired on it killing the beast, but another one
shot him in the side for no damage. Da_Toad finished that one off. More aliens were now spotted in the streets of Canberra. Shaytan spotted a second Chrysalid near the warehouse
that Eightball and Da_Toad were sheltered near but his shots only injured the bastard beast. Samurai was off the plane then and took it out. Siljanus too had now entered the fight
and had taken out a lone Snakeman that had come to rest at the wrong spot the turn before.
Sounds of explosions could now be heard, it seemed like an alien had misfired a grenade killing its comrade. The men advanced under the cover of the aliens confusion. By now the
entire Skyranger had been cleared except for the two men with the Blaster Launchers.....they now launched them at seperate targest, killing them and vaporizing large sections of
the area. Another Chrysalid was now spotted in another warehouse, attempts to kill it were not successful and it advanced!
Shaytan however ambushed it from behind and the world was rid of another of those hideous beasts. TNB too had gotten into the Chrysalid killing business and three straight rounds
of plasma killed another one of them. Near Siljanus too heavy action was unfolding, the recent Blaster Bombs had broken the Snakemen’s morale and some of them broke, Siljanus and
Eduardo X took advantage and killed two of them. This ended the mission.
