On the 19th of July a scout was shot down over southern Iran. An 8-man squad from Europe was sent in.
Shaytan got the first kill, hitting a Muton in the back with a snap shot. The rest of the men fanned out to secure the area. Siljanus spotted the next one in a small orchard near
the plane; he killed it as he ran down the ramp.
Eduardo X had the next kill, taking out a Muton on a farm building’s roof. Siljanus too, had another kill, taking out another one with an aimed shot to the head. He then got in a
heated exchange with a Muton in a cornfield. Both of them were shot, but Shaytan survived the conflict. The men were now close to the UFO. Eightball was into the UFO first and
took out the last Muton ending the mission.
Several days later the aliens attack Bangkok.....
Worse case scenario people....Ethereal terror site, you know the drill people, never stay in one spot and generally never trust the man behind you!
Shaytan spotted an Ethereal once he got down the ramp. He shot the being and it dropped instantly, the heavy plasma round igniting its heavy robes and exploding half the frail
creature’s chest. It screamed as it died and the Russian felt no remorse.
After this Eightball, Da_Toad and Siljanus set up a perimeter around the Skyranger and got set up for the advance. During this, the sounds of civvies blood curdling cries could be
heard. Gunfire and screams were heard from across the street, and Da_Toad spotted one of those alien killing a young women in a second floor room. It turned to him after it
completed its task and mind blasted Da_Toad. It couldn't sense a brain and thus left Toad alone. Opening fire Da_Toad injured it twice before Eightball finished it.
Shaytan was now advancing to the front landing gear of the Skyranger when he spotted a large mechanical beast, similar in size to a Reaper but armed with twin plasma cannons. He
opened fire hitting it twice, but it was not enough to destroy the mechanical beast. It was hit three more times before the end of the turn. Now ItsATrap was taken over by the
Ethereal’s mind control but the Sectopod that was firing at Shaytan hit Itsa, killing the controlled Brutesquad member. In the end, it was indeed a trap.
Reaction fire from the men finally took out the Sectopod. Shaytan now spotted another Ethereal and killed it. Samurai two spotted more, another two behind the destroyed Sectopod.
TNB took out one with a snap shot and Binky and Samurai suppressed the other one.
Shaytan was now mentally mind attacked, and he soon broke under the combined assault of several Ethereals. He broke and ran and an Ethereal cut him down next to Samurai. Da_Toad
under the stress was well broke and panicked. He had taken out another Ethereal in an apartment building just before.
Samurai had soon taken out Shaytan’s Ethereal killer and Eduardo X had moved across the street, taking out a wall in the building that he was next to. He spotted another
Ethereal, TNB shot it from long range and the men now had more breathing room. Papageno got the next kill, another Ethereal that was next to a large warehouse. Eightball too
crossed the street after this, spotting a second Sectopod in the warehouse.
The remaining aliens had now been rounded up into the warehouse and the men advanced upon it. The battle soon turned fierce as the Sectopod seemed to shake off the plasma bolts
with ease, one of them soaked up over 10 shots in one round, it didn't even seem to slow down. Finally Binky took it down. At least three of the Sectopods were spotted in the
warehouse as well as at least one Ethereal based on the continuing mind blasts.
Siljanus and Eightball had now come into the alley behind the warehouse to use the service exit to flank the enemy. But as they readied themselves to enter a Sectopod came out, a
firefight between it and Siljanus erupted and it retreated back inside after several hits, Siljanus destroyed it the next turn after more heavy fire.
Eduardo X then spotted the last Ethereal and chucked a grenade at it, killing it. However, it wasn't the last Ethereal after all. The mind blasts continued and Samurai spotted a
Ethereal in the rear that had gotten up from Shaytan’s previous blasts, he put it down for good. The remaining Sectopods were killed off slowly until only the last Ethereal was
left - the leader. He was shot dead by Eightball, but not before Da_Toad fell to its mind control. He was never seen from again, he didn't return to the Skyranger and it was
assumed that he had broken inside and wandered off down the deserted Bangkok streets.

July just ended and I got back the results of the Psi-Analysis........I just have to say I’m very, very disappointed in Australia’s performance, other than Darkfyre’s high of 95.
The main base however is good. The veterans are all acceptable.
It wasn't until August the 16th that the next UFO was shot down over land, 10+ others being shot down over the Atlantic. As well research went very well, with Psi-Amps, Mind
Shields and the powerful Avenger being researched. The Avenger is currently being made and should be available before the end of the month.
Let’s get back to that UFO. The mission was over very quickly with Siljanus taking out all three aliens in the UFO and Eightball taking the lone one outside, all floaters.
On the 19th a medium UFO was shot down over the same area and again the men faced floaters. Siljanus was down first, taking out two in his turn. Eightball was down next also
taking out one and spotting another on a nearby roof before he crouched down.
Resistance was soon cleared up and Eduardo X led the assault into the damaged UFO. It was soon captured without lose and the men celebrated! Cows in Western Russia would now be
safe!
The very next day another UFO was shot down, this time in Finland. The squad was sent into mop up. The five survivors were quickly taken out by Siljanus and to a lesser extent
Eightball, Siljanus was again injured after taking a shot to the side upon entering the UFO.
Newsflash: Siljanus's accuracy is now 111!
In the meantime a landed medium UFO was spotted in Denmark on the 21st. Since I was running low on Elerium-115 I sent in the team post haste.
The Skyranger landed directly next to the UFO and its main entry way to facilitate a quick grab and go mission, the men would quickly smash resistance inside the UFO, grab the
Elerium-115 and get out.
Binky spotted the first floater and got it with a grenade, this blew a hole open in the farm building it was near and out came a second floater, Mr. UnRemarkable took it out with
a crappy shot from the Skyranger. The mission then proceeded smoothly and we only lost two men - Grifman and MortalCoil. Grifman died on the second level of the UFO and MortalCoil
died taking out the last one.
The next day we detected a Battleship landed in Southern Germany. The Skyranger was loaded with every combat ready soldier and replacements were ordered for the expected KIA.
Eightball was down first and spotted the first floater, he soon had it KIA and the main body of men followed him to the battleship, men with stun guns included. A smaller
detachment of men, mainly rookies went to take out opposition on the outside of the UFO and they encountered heavy amounts of it from floaters shacked up in farm buildings
overlooking the Skyranger, grenades finally solved the problem but Bakhtosh was killed in the incident.
The rest of the outside problem was soon solved and played a second fiddle to the men armed with the stun guns. Advancing to the command deck they stun 7 floaters in total to end
the mission. Included in these 7 POWs were a navigator, engineer, leader AND commander!
September 6th, 1999
Budapest was under attack, the city on the Danube river was in flames and the cities monuments were being destroyed, a large battleship hung over the city and small troop
transports were constantly buzzing to and fro from it. Hungarian fighter planes were zapporized when they entered the city limits and the local militia and police were having no
better luck on the ground. The Brutesquad was called on, and within minutes the new AVENGER troop transport arrived in downtown Budapest. The craft landing near Heroes square.
The ramp to the Avenger lowered quickly and the men were quick to exit the craft, Eightball spotted the first floater in a small park right in front of the exit ramp, he shot it
dead and made room for the now exiting troops. Samurai was shot at going down the ramp but it was only a stun round and he shook it off, he fired back and suppressed his attacker
only to see a Reaper behind him when he got down the ramp.
Eightball was down the ramp next spotting three floaters across the street, he tossed a grenade between two of them and Eduardo came down the ramp to take out the third one.
Meanwhile TNB had come to assist Samurai and took out that Reaper as well as a floater which was behind it (pure luck).
The grenade now detonated and took one of the floaters out, injuring the second which only had a stun gun. It suppressed Eduardo but it didn't matter as Eightball killed him
quickly. Samurai and TNB soon parted ways as TNB ducked into the warehouse next to the Avenger and took out another Reaper. Papageno too was out of the craft and was checking the
area behind the warehouse. Most of the squad was now out of the Avenger and aliens were dropping left and right.
Another Reaper charged TNB but, as always, hot plasma greeted the giant beast, and it went down hard. Samurai also was in the heat of the battle still as a floater chucked a
grenade that landed short, destroying part of the warehouse wall and giving Samurai the proper angle for the shot. It was dead within a heartbeat. Darkfyre now leapfrogged over
Samurai to take a lead in the bug hunt.
Another Reaper now charged through the warehouse and this time tried to side swipe RayDude, he saw it coming and again gave the alien what it deserved. Eduardo then came under
fire, a floater from across the intersection giving out hell, Eightball covered Eduardo and it was soon dead. The warehouse was now clean and the men could now move across the
street for the final show down.
But that would not be necessary as the mission was now over!
