The Skyranger was almost back to base when we detected a landed UFO south of Manila, the Australian squad was sent in!
Gryndyl was down first and spotted an alien, he took it down. Guess what boys - its muton time.
Freezer-TPF- spotted a second one near the front of the Skyranger, and despite heavy laser fire from multiple men it didn't go down, it retreated however under such heavy fire.
Drazzil took that one out, but another was spotted soon after. It too was eliminated, this time by the expert long range marksmenship of Darkfyre! Soon Freezer had spotted the
fourth Muton and after many unsuccessfully shots by other men, Drazzil in all his glory took that one out as well!
Once again it came time for the funnest part of any UFO mission - door breaching! Again the men formed up to pick straws. Alas........Drazzil is not a lucky man. He went in
quickly and came back out after three shots were fired, the UFO was ours!
By now limited supplies of power armor were being constructed and the first 10 suits would be done in 10 days. However UFO-25 was spotted and shot down near the Iraqi city of
Basra. Once again the Brutesquad would have to be sent in.
Oh and yes the next batch of recruits are coming in to replace those horrible losses in Antarctica. They are.......
Aussie, Shaytan, ItsATrap, Andon, Eduardo X, MortalCoil, RayDude, and Mr. UnRemarkable.
Charlatan was down the ramp first, he spotted a snakeman and ended its life quickly with help from his new Heavy Plasma Rifle. More men got off soon (no Siljanus or Binky!) and
the men secured the perimeter. Eightball was the only one to encounter another snakeman but it was a brief encounter and he came out on top without injury.
Resistance tapered off then and the men made it to the UFO without incident. Grifman would breach and be followed shortly by Bakhtosh Redclaw. Grifman spotted the last Snakeman
quickly and took it down. Mission complete!
Plasma Cannon was reasearched by the 25th. I was set to start researching the Firestorm when I saw it........I CAUGHT A SECTOID LEADER!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 28th of May the men of Australia encountered a flurry of alien contacts, two large, one small. The small one was shot down and one of the large ones landed in Java. Seeing
as the squad didn't have plasma weapons, power armor or even alien grenades I sent them to the small UFO.
The men disembarked without quarrel but out of the blue a Muton came, taking Gryndyl with him. Dead before I could respond, return fire injured it and the Muton retreated.
Darkfyre took out the wounded Muton, and the men advanced slightly. They came into heavier contact, two more Mutons firing on the men, both being injured but kept suppressing the
men. Celica took out one of them but the other kept his fire on HitByAmbulance. He took it out with another burst and the men advanced. Near the UFOs entrance Darkfyre spotted a
Muton, and it had to be taken out from LONG range by Drazzil. A five man strike team now formed up to take out the UFOs remaining crew, three of the men had taken the dead Mutons
Heavy Plasma Guns and would be going in first.
The men with the plasma guns went in first, Evil Dead spotted three remaining, he took out one of them and then Celica moved in, his shots only wounded one of the Mutons and it
fired back, killing him. Darkfyre came in last taking out the last two Mutons and ending the mission!
A day later UFO-29 was picked up on radar over the Sahara, it took two interceptors with Avalanche missiles to take it down. But they took it down right on the Nigerian border.
The men from the main base suited up, Siljanus and Binky were now back from injury leave and were ready to kick ass! Charlatan was down the ramp first, receiving fire from a
floater, he killed it and move to cover. Eightball was down next and fired on another floater it was injured but fired back hitting Eightball twice, the power armor didn't even
let Eightball feel it!
More fire was taken by the men, Charlatan and Siljanus were hit, Siljanus however was injured in the head. He took out his attacker and prepared to receive medical aid. Charlatan
was now receiving fire from two sides, near misses came and hit Andon instead, killing the young recruit, an unlucky kid indeed.
Grenades were now being hurled, one exploded only a few feet away from Eightball but again, he was uninjured! A dentist’s luck I say! Charlatan too had thrown his own grenade
killing a pesky floater in a nearby barn. He then moved forward and took out the other floater that was preventing the men from moving forward. Now the men started to move forward
until Eightball spotted another one. ItsATrap took it out and the rest of the men advanced.
The men were now ready to enter the UFO and engage in close quarter combat! Eightball advanced and spotted three floaters on the first floor, he took out two with snap shots and
the third one retreated after firing at ItsATrap! Binky now had an alien grenade ready and threw it into the craft. It took out that last floater and the men advanced into the
craft itself.
Another floater came down to the first level via the lift but Binky was already covering it and shot it dead. The men then advanced up the lift, Eightball killing another one on
his way up. He was shot twice then, suffering moderate wounds. Eightball killed the last two floaters and the mission was over!
Eightball is out 16 days, Siljanus for 4.
While the Skyranger was heading towards the last UFO another one of the same size landed in the Western Sahara. After refueling (how the heck does topping off the tanks take 2 1/2
hours?) the plane lifted off again to take out that other UFO.
The men got off without a hitch and secured the perimeter. The next turn the men advanced and TNB spotted the first floater. He killed it with ease from a distance and the rest of
the men advanced further. Charlatan spotted the next one and like TNB he took it out quickly with two snap shots.
The men spotted two more floater and both were taken out. One by Ralph the other by TNB. Then ItsATrap was hit and almost killed! Ralph rushed to give medical aid. Binky took out
his attacker and TNB rushed forward.
The men were now ready to assault the UFO. Charlatan would go in first, closely followed by Eduardo X, RayDude and The Nature Boy. It was then that a floater emerged from the
craft and shot Charlatan not one, not twice, not three times, hell keep going up from four! BUT FIVE TIMES! And to top it all off, he wasn't even injured!
Charlatan then got into the UFO and took out two floaters from behind, a third one taken out by RayDude. Eduardo then took out the last alien on the first floor and the men
prepared to advance up the lift. TNB took out two more on the top floor and the craft was captured!
Good news on all fronts boys! We now have reserves of around 500 Elerium-115. Lots of alien grenades and Heavy Plasma rounds. As well our cash reserves have surpassed $15 million
and as such I have started construction on a third base in North America. Because of the new power armor our troops can go toe to toe with the alien invaders. And best of all!
That sectoid leader just broke several minutes ago and research into the Psi-Lab has begun!
By the 4th of June research into the Psi-Lab had finished and they were being built in both full bases now. As well all interceptors were now packing Plasma Cannons as their main
weapons and should have no trouble taking down most alien craft.
During the first few days on the month at least one large UFO was spotted a day, however none could be intercepted, they went by too fast for the interceptors to tackle.
However eight more recruits soon arrived in Australia they are.....
Romalar, RDM, The Meal, WanderingOutlaw, Shang, Zero, Joe Bedurndurn, Duisigh.
They are sure to be good men.......once I get them guns and armor.
