It is now mid-march. A new batch of recruits has arrived they are.......
Byrns, JMDiller, Bud (mb737), Eightball, PipBoy, Lyno, Papageno, MaxZero
As well, we have a cash balance of 7+ million right now. The radar base in Australia is being turned into a full base and the stores at our main base are being juggled constantly.
The Heavy Cannon has now been retired from active service as well.
It was around the 17th of March that I spotted another large UFO in North Africa, by now I had become suspicious and investigated with my Skyranger, as I had thought it was an
alien base! Plans for its destruction were made immediately. For the mean time research increased and the laser cannon was developed, research now focused on the alien grenades
and it was hoped that they would be ready for the upcoming base assault.
We went in. Two landing parties, each on a different side of the map. Four men at one, 6 at the other with the tank. It got shot up going down by a floater sniper, SuperDarkDude
took the floater out. Men advanced. Valael was killed by a second sniper, men continued to advance. No one else killed yet, having advanced to the command center, SuperDarkDude
has at least 3 kills so far.
The men were advancing on the command center now, Chaz and Siljanus at the forefront, soon it was only Siljanus, Chaz shot down by a floater leaving Siljanus to himself. Papageno
was now hit, Ghoul gave him medical attention and the wounds were now only light, however the tank was then put out of commission, and the men were on their own!
Captain Siljanus was then hit, he took out his attacker and retreated for medical attention, receiving it from Ghoul. The fighting was getting thick now, the aliens pulling out
all stops to prevent the command center from being destroyed! The floaters were still coming, MaxZero took one out, but another got a shot off at Da_Toad. He was uninjured.
By now The Nature Boy and Samurai had made an encirclement of the remaining aliens and were coming up on the command center from behind, TNB took out an alien that was getting to
close to the remaining men at the front and gave them some breathing room. Another floater was spotted near MaxZero but SuperDarkDude managed to get a grenade to it. Meanwhile on
the other side of the command center Papageno, Ghoul and Siljanus were advancing and were close to completing the encirclement of the aliens.
The men were now ready to breach the outer walls of the command center, all resistance having been quelled outside of it. The game informed me that the floater leader had
panicked! All the better for me and the troops.
Papageno went in first, killing the lone guard on the first level quickly and he got to the lift with ease. There he spotted the alien leader and in a killing frenzy it was dead
in an instant! VICTORY!!!!
Over 1000 points in our favor boys!
Papageno is out 5 days, Siljanus and Binky are still out for 17 days. At least you men aren't dead!
Bounty was sold for around 3 million total. The month ended quickly and the only other real news is that the Australian base is almost complete and now 8 new soldiers have
arrived.......

Finally the March review was.........good. Over $800,000 in funding!
April started off with a BOOM! A medium UFO was soon spotted near Antarctica and the Australian interceptor shot it down over the sea, it was the second UFO spotted in as many
days and thus.......my suspicion was raised.
Only hours later the scientists reported back that yes they had made a breakthrough on the alien power source! Brilliant! One step closer to improved craft! Drinks were passed out
freely to the troops!
Just over ten days later a Skyranger had arrived in Australia and that base was fully operational, albeit on a smaller scale than the base on Corsica. As well the scientists, now
70 of them opened the secrets of the UFO Navigational controls!
The same day a large UFO was spotted over Europe, interceptors failed to bring it down at a cost of one of our aircraft and the UFO landed shortly thereafter in the Spanish
capitol of Madrid. The men were sent in.
On to Madrid! It would be sectoids and cyberdisks.
The tank went out first as usual, and well.......darn it, there are at least four bloody sectoids and one cyberdisk near the ship! The tank managed to take one of the sectoids
out, but it was shot up when it next moved, being trashed by the fire. Byrns and Siljanus got out of the Skyranger hot on the heels of the tank, they faired better than the tank,
each taking out a tank. The sectoids fired back, not at the men but the Spanish civilians. The cyberdisk however devoted some time on trying to kill Byrns but only managed to put
holes in a cast iron fence.
The next turn went well for the men also. Byrns took out his second sectoid, which had apparently taken out our tank and a civvie already. Captain Siljanus spotted another alien,
this one with a pistol and caused it to retreat under heavy laser fire. Most importantly the men destroyed that cyberdisk, it took out half the park that it was in and Ghoul had
yet another kill.
Da_Toad now advanced on the half ruined park and came under fire, plasma coming close enough to give him a haircut! He took cover behind the iron fence and fired back, Byrns
joined him but they missed, finally TNB took it out, saving Da_Toads ass. Siljanus having spotted an alien the last turn tossed a grenade into the alley it took cover in and
waited for it to go BOOM! The other men advanced and formed a perimeter around the Skyranger.
The grenade did the job and an alien scream was heard in all its glory, spurred on the men’s advance. Samurai was then blindsided by a sectoid, he lost consciousness and all hope
was lost for a moment! Binky and MaxZero quickly took down the shooter (MaxZero took that honor) and TNB rushed to render medical aid to Samurai.
More fire was incoming and Byrns was hit critically, a major artery was severed in his arm. It was not known if he would pull through! He was able however to throw his only alien
grenade at the opening to the sectoid’s building and it soon detonated, taking it out. Mission complete!
It was a very small terror site. But more importantly, NO DEATHS!
Also we got promotions! Congratulations Colonel Siljanus, Captains Da_Toad and Ghoul and Sergeants Samurai, MaxZero and The Nature Boy. You've made this young gamer proud, and
darn it its a testament that you've even survived this long!
Hot darn! Byrns is out for 34 days and get this.....Samurai gets to sit on his rear for 50!
On the 21st of April Elerium-115 was fully researched! YAY! Research began at once on UFO Construction.
